Promoted Tweet complains about BA
It's being called, by some, a modern tale of David and Goliath. A customer who is unhappy with BA has paid to promote a Tweet saying "Don't fly @BritishAirways. Their customer service is horrendous."

This Tweet is doing the rounds, being Retweeted and generally being hailed as the dawn of a new era of democratisation of customer rights.

Is anyone surprised that a customer is upset with a large company? It's novel today, but it won't be tomorrow, and it won't change anything.

Move along.

As long as it has competitors like Ryanair, BA doesn't have too much to worry about.

Customers are becoming more sophisticated these days and can quickly judge whether the views of the highly vocal disgruntled are representative.

No one is going to switch airlines based on a few words from someone they do not even know. Especially if one's had years of good service from BA.

As John says, you can often brush these things aside as someone whose got their knickers in a twist.
