'We're busy dealing with other customers'
Am I alone in having a problem with hearing this in a recorded message? I've always been told that 'I'm busy' is rude even if it's true.

What makes it worse is that some companies say it every time and so it isn't true. 'We're incompetent' or 'The cost benefit of answering the phone quicker' or 'We make 5p a second if we can draw this out' would be more accurate.
