Very Cheap Email/Contact Details of Surrey Businesses
No, I am not selling them!

I have just taken delivery of [by an Excel document in an email] 13,000 business names, contact names, addresses and the all important email addresses etc.

So what did that cost? You won't believe it....99p!

I only bought it to see if it was a real deal and if I could obtain 13,000 email addresses of Surrey businesses for 99p. It seems one is able to.

How many are worthwhile and active contacts? I've no idea.

Even if they are "worthwhile", they are not your contacts and will be cold. Most reputable email systems will not allow to use them. So they probably aren't worth 99p. You were done!

Don't try to find out (I know ... you wouldn't). If you use that list any website associated with the email will be blacklisted.

The medium is the message. If you send cold emails then you're a spammer. If you make cold calls then you're a telesales operator.

'What's a girl like you doing in a place like this' is not the chat up line you want to hear. It's 'Hey, I've seen you around'.

Damn! I'll never see that money again Jeremy. But sometimes you're intrigued enough to step inside.

I once "stumbled" across a list of emails for Greater Manchester which I shouldn't have had access to. I compared them to my Plaxo list using Excel and found 54 in common (out of 28,000). A lesson here somewhere...

What a great combined list that would have been.

So what we're saying here is that any kind of email list, no matter how good value it appears to be, is totally useless and worthless as no one has given permission or opted in?

I run my business from a High Street office in the Georgian seaside market town of Lymington on the edge of the New Forest. I've lived there since the age of 11 apart from a 6-year spell in Walton on Thames, Surrey.. I love music, food, boats and sport [see interests below for specifics] Since the age of 18 I have worked exclusively on my own businesses; from plans to launch an 80-van mobile car valeting franchise, that were scuppered last minute due to a 3 month emergency hospital visit, to importing Nissan vans from Dublin, my career has been a lot of fun. I have started businesses in transport, music, automotive, sales, franchising, catering, development land, conveyancing, tax and of course…unavoidably and unsurprising to me I have ended up where I knew I would one day... marketing. I know James Coakes [at a distance] and have eaten a sandwich in his office located a sausage roll throws away from my own HQ.
